- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Packaging Engineer for an opening in Logan, UT.
This position is under the direction of the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and includes responsibilities related to specifying, designing, and qualifying new packaging designs and processes as well as improvements to drive productivity, capacity, cost reduction, and efficiency.
Support R&D with new product development and contribute to packaging improvement initiatives
Identify, assess, and execute packaging design and process improvement opportunities
Assist in identifying new company suppliers and packaging processes
Create specifications, test plans, procedures, and reports
Demonstrated ability to solve problems using systematic methods
Experience applying engineering principles and industry standards to packaging designs
Experience in managing contributions to multiple engineering projects and deliverables including budgets and timelines as well as work well in cross-functional teams (internal and external)
Experience in technical writing including engineering protocols and reports as well as development and implementation of procedures
Experience with ISTA and ASTM standards and associated test methods and equipment
Experience with the specification, design, fabrication, and qualification of packaging solutions
Medical Device/Biopharmaceutical manufacturing (i.e. GMP, FDA, ISO13485) experience desired
Self-motivated with good problem solving, communication, and organizational skills
Accredited Bachelor’s degree (packaging preferred) with 3 years demonstrated applicable experience OR, Master’s degree (packaging preferred) OR, a minimum of 8 years demonstrated applicable technical experience
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
