- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Production Test Technician 3 for an opening in Manassas, VA.
Performs subassembly and unit test activities for ARCI submarine sonar system program. Test activities include the following: trouble shooting test failures and field return assets, performing factory acceptance tests with customer witness, completing test data sheets, compiling as built lists, generating reject notices for defective hardware, and documenting test software issues. Subassembly testing includes the following types of hardware: LINUX servers, VME based circuit cards, and CISCO switches. Knowledge of fiber optics, Windows and LINUX based operating systems is required. Knowledge of the following types of test equipment is required: function generator, oscilloscopes, multi-meters, and fiber optics meters. Applicant must have working knowledge of power circuitry. Two year technical degree in electronics or computer systems or equivalent experience required.
Have a strong technical background Ability to diagnose and debug electronic issues Team player Ability to multitask and comfortable working in a lab environment.
Experience with ARCI Sonar systems. Two year technical degree in electronics is a plus but not mandatory.
Accredited High School Diploma/GED
