Description
Chipton Ross is seeking a Logistics Analyst for an opening in Canoga Park, CA

Responsibilities
40% -Planning, scheduling and assigning external drivers and vehicles to convey freight on pickup and delivery by trucks using developed guidelines to provide economical rates and high performance levels, consolidating and building volume shipments whenever possible. Maintains computerized real time records and files related to the transportation program, and may coordinate special arrangements for unusual shipments. Initiates backhauls, coordinates schedules, coordinates special arrangements for unusual freight. Maximizes efficiencies. Analyzes Contractor invoicing for accuracy and completeness prior to submittal for payment.
40% - Planning, scheduling, supporting, all box / crate / pallet needs, drives all box requests to support shipments and internal / external handling of parts. Generates reports to demonstrate timely support and on time delivery. Communicates regularly with customers, and 3rd Party Provider to ensure lead times and expectations are being met. Ensures that the timely updates are made available from order inception to invoice payment.
20% - Supports Enterprise initiatives as assigned.

Requirements
Ability to coordinate and communicate change and requirements in a very fluid, fast paced environment.
Ability to multi task throughout the course of the day and still achieve desired end result.
Experience in Supply Chain, strong, timely communication skills.
Verbal communication must be clear and concise.
Written communication skills must be accurate.
Strong Microsoft Suite skills required, especially with Excel.
3-6 years related experience required.

Education
A Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline and three (3) years of experience in a directly related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Schedule
9/80 schedule, 1st Shift

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
