Chipton-Ross is seeking an Admin Functional Support 1 for an opportunity in Newport News, VA.
Performs variety of activities in support of functional areas such as finance, purchasing, or human resources or for a specific project/business/technical unit. Gathers, collects, records, tracks and verifies data and information from multiple sources. Compiles, reviews and analyzes data. Uses software for functional area, to compile and generate reports, statistics, timelines, tables, graphs, correspondence and presentations. May design processes to enhance work flow. Provides data and information to others on functional unit processes and procedures.
The employee will work in several locations in the shipyard. Not all facilities have elevators.
There is considerable walking and incline ladders (shipboard locations).
Also, employees must be able to lift 25lbs. Candidates will receive supplies for their areas which includes paper boxes, folders etc.
PPE is required first day of assignment. Hard hat, safety glasses, steel toe shoes, ear muffs (not ear buds). Secondary light source (flashlight, phone app etc. is required as well.
High School diploma or equivalent and some experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office including but not limited to Excel Outlook.
SAP desired but not required.
High School diploma/GED is required.
School must be accredited.
7AM to 3:30PM.
Candidates must be available for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts and OT hours (weekends included).
At least 1 week notice will be given for the shift changes.

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
