- Chipton-Ross is seeking 14 Structural Analysis Engineer 3 for an opportunity in Tukwila, WA
Looking for experienced structural analysis engineer to support Client Defense, Space and Security in the Puget Sound region of Washington State; providing support to the Presidential Airplane Recapitalization Program (VC-25B), the Poseidon Program (P-8) and/or the Puget Sound Design Center (including the T-X program). Job responsibilities may include internal loads (FEM), static, fatigue, and/or damage tolerance stress analysis to support program design, fabrication, testing, and/or structural integrity activities.
Develops, integrates and documents structural requirements to establish the system design. Coordinates with other engineering groups to establish the product's environment. Guides product design and verifies structural integrity by using analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance. Develops test plans and configurations, supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications. Defines and documents certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied. Supports in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements. Works under general direction.

Patran - Required - Intermediate
o Must have at least an Accredited Bachelor of Science Degree in Aeronautics/Aerospace, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
o At least 5 or more years' experience in structural or mechanical systems analysis or finite element analysis
o Experience with stress, fatigue, and/or damage tolerance analysis on primary structural components or mechanical systems

This position can be in support of multiple programs in the Developmental Center Area of Tukwila. Supporting the Puget Sound Design Center (9-98 Bldg), the VC-25B Program (9-101 Bldg), and the P-8 Program (14-01 Bldg).
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
