Chipton Ross is seeking a Systems Engineer for an opening in Huntsville, AL

This position will entail reliability and system safety work related to a diverse product line. Candidate must be able to independently:
35% - Develop reliability and safety models/analyses for various systems and communicate results to company engineers and managers.
35% - Complete reliability and systems safety analysis products, including FMECA (failure modes, effects, and criticality analysis) and hazard analysis.
10% - Provide design input to improve product reliability when necessary by interacting with a wide variety of individuals and teams to communicate results.
10% - Design reliability test plans to qualify new product and processes, evaluate testing failures and ensure consistent adherence to high quality standards by application of reliability techniques.
10% - Perform Probabilistic Risk Assessments.

Candidate must have an understanding of solid rocket motor (SRM) operating fundamentals and SRM hardware fundamentals.
Candidate must have excellent communication and problem-solving skills and have working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Candidate must be proactive and have the ability to work independently, as well as with a team.
Reliability Engineering course work is preferred.

Requires a Bachelors' of Science degree in an appropriate discipline/science and 9 years of directly related technical experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Schedule
1st Shift, 9/80

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
