Chipton-Ross is seeking an Inspector for an opening in Brea, CA.
Responsible to evaluate and determine detail & assembly parts and test articles meet approved drawings and specifications.
Perform all tests, inspections and measurements required by pre-defined instruction; Conduct inspection of incoming raw materials, first article parts, in-process materials, and finished goods; Inspect both work in progress and completed tasks for compliance in accordance with Purchase Order Instructions, Design Drawings & Specifications, Quality Control Plan, Safety, and contractual requirements; Participate in periodic stock inventories and prepare material requisitions for replacement items as required; Coordinate and assist with scheduled inspections with FAA/EASA regulatory personnel; Develop training and train junior individuals on inspection equipment and methods; Perform other quality-related tasks.
4+ years in mechanical inspection with focus on aerospace and manufacturing environment
Has developed proficiency through job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience. Completes work with a limited degree of supervision. Likely to act as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience.
Other Skills: Able to read drawing and specifications, understand and follow written procedures and recognize the importance of compliance with quality requirements.
Accredited High School Diploma/GED
1st Shift M-F, 7:00AM-4:00PM
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
