Chipton-Ross is seeking a Facilities Plant Maintenance Specialist located in Chantilly, VA.

General knowledge of HVAC codes, regulations and safety procedures. General knowledge that demonstrates increased skill level in the HVAC field to include rough-in and lay out, perform preventive maintenance on equipment, and troubleshoot problems. Use blueprints or design specifications to install or repair HVAC systems. Connect systems to fuel and water supply lines, air ducts, and other components. Install electrical wiring and controls and test for proper operation. Inspect and maintain customers’ HVAC systems. Test individual components to determine necessary repairs. Repair or replace worn or defective parts. Read blueprints and is familiar with building codes. Responds to trouble calls and resolves problems of moderate scope and complexity. Demonstrates an understanding of customer service concepts (i.e., courteous, punctual, honest, etc). Assist other trades as needed. Will be lifting and carrying up to 35lbs, climbing ladders, walking on a grid platform and on rooftops. Frequent climbing, kneeling, lifting, pulling, pushing, bending, walking and continuous standing. Under minimal supervision uses hand and power tools to construct, renovate, maintain and repair facilities and equipment. May receive specialized equipment training as required to maintain facilities.

Heating, Ventiliaton and Cooling (HVAC) - Intermediate

Accredited High school diploma or GED and typically 7 or more years’ related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Full-Time/Second Shift
1:00 PM - 11:30 PM

This work assignment has been designated as "safety-sensitive" by the Client. Contractors assigned to safety-sensitive jobs at the Client site must first complete regulatory pre-placement requirements prior to reporting to assignment. Additionally, contractors assigned to safety-sensitive work will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with federal mandates.

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
