Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking a Project Estimator for an opportunity in New Brighton, NM.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
„h Consult with Safran Test Cells Engineering Management identifying differences
between new bids and historical bids to develop cost and price estimates for
similar projects.
„h Develop RFQs for sub-contracted items by consulting with Safran Test Cells
Supply Chain, Purchasing, Engineering and Project Management staff.
„h Partner with Safran Test Cells Supply Chain Management to identify vendors and
get quotations for sub-contracted work.
„h In response to Customer¡¦s RFQ, specifications, etc., develop cost estimates,
proposals, compliance matrix and other bid documents for Safran Test Cells
projects to describe the solution that is being bid. Ensure proposal, bid
documents and price estimates are consistent with each other.
„h Develop and maintain cost estimates and proposal text for standardized
equipment.
„h Collaborate with Sales and Engineering to balance competing priorities of cost
and function to develop cost effective solutions providing Best Value to the
customers.
„h Collaborate with different engineering disciplines (ME, EE, CE, Aero-acoustic,
etc.) to develop solutions compliant with customer requirements.
„h Assist the Sr. Project Estimator & Quoting Manager with developing supporting
bids from Safran Aero Boosters EU counterparts on Safran Test Cells
International proposals and bids.
„h Assist Safran Test Cells Supply Chain Management to maintain effective
communication between suppliers and Safran Test Cells organizations and
personnel.
„h Build relationships at supplier base via telephone and email to support the
estimating process.
„h Participate in the development of promotional activities such as sales literature
development and standard costing models by creating draft versions for further
review.
„h Additional duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
„h Highly effective communication skills both verbal and written.
„h Strong organizational and time management skills, and works
independently.
„h Computer skills ¡X Microsoft Office, high proficiency in Excel and Word;
knowledgeable in MS Projects and PowerPoint.
„h Detail-oriented self-starter with ability to work under pressure and meet
deadlines.
„h Demonstrated ability to manage multiple activities and communicate goals,
objectives, and accomplishments to team members.
„h Strong analytical skills.
„h Demonstrated ability to read engineering drawings.
„h Proficiency in mathematical calculations.
„h Proven ability to think critically about both customer and needs and solutions.
„h Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and seeks to maintain quality
standards.
„h Demonstrated ability to deliver a positive customer service experience. Strong
interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to develop and maintain

EDUCATION:
Accredited Bachelor's degree preferred.
„h In lieu of a degree, 2-3 years of related experience will be considered.

WORK HOURS:
Full-Time/First Shift

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
