Description


Chipton-Ross is seeking a Shipping Clerk for an opening in Redmond, WA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for the assembling, addressing, stamping, and shipping of merchandise or material.
Examine contents of shipment and compare with record, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of out-going shipment. Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders to route materials. Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, and space availability for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes. Pack, seal, and label materials to prepare for shipping using work devices such as hand tools/power tools. Requisition and store materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock.
1. Continuously improves products and processes and participates in quality improvement teams when appropriate.
2. Responsible for insuring on-time delivery to the customer by maintaining productivity and following department schedules.
4. Responsible for satisfying the needs of internal and external customers by responding to customer requests, understanding customer requirements and building successful, productive customer relations.
5. Prepares material kits from bills of material and/or material pick lists and issues to production.
6. Counts and bags material for storage and issues material/supplier from stock.
7. Bags and tags finished goods for storage.
8. Completes all stores, receiving and shipping transactions, computer data entry.
Receives suppliers, material and goods that are shipped to the company.
Counts of inventory.
Follows all company safety policies and procedures.
Reacts to change productively and handles all other duties as required.
Ability on proofing information
Entering Alphanumeric data
Making calculations
MRP, carrier software for shipping, Excel

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
0-2 years
Entry-level job with little or no prior relevant experience. Work is prescribed and completed with close supervision and little autonomy. Duties are clearly defined and methods and tasks are described in detail.
Computer Skills: Familiar with Microsoft office products.

EDUCATION:
Accredited High School Diploma/GED

WORK HOURS:
7:00 am - 3:30 pm
Full-Time

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
