Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking an Assembler 2 for an opening in Oldsmar, FL.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Builds and populates electronics in sub-assembly units, routes cables, conducts continuity checks, preps units for customer delivery, and assists with customer and quality inspections. o Establishes the location, fits and installs systems and accessories using various fasteners and techniques where mating, locations, and coordination of parts, assemblies and equipment are critical factors. o Works from engineering drawings, electronic work instructions, and written or verbal instructions. o Responsible for accurate record keeping, time recording, and safety training. o Uses computer to access work instructions, log discrepancies/issues, log time, and communicate via email. o Read and follow Manufacturing Process Standards, Assembly Methods Instructions, Quality Notification dispositions and any other shop floor documentation required to fabricate, assemble, rework/repair electronic modules, packages, and associated ancillary mechanical components. o The successful candidate will independently read and follow production/service order work instructions, to include reading and interpreting design disclosure engineering documentation, (blueprints, redline drawing, sketches, etc.). o Operates related equipment - torque wrenches, small hand tools, hand trucks, pull test equipment, etc. o Use all materials, tools, measuring devices, and equipment necessary to complete jobs such as module assembly, module installation, soldering, component removal & replacement, adhesive mixing, application, connector assembly, contact/wire crimping, insertion, extraction, assembly cleaning, and fastener torqueing. Able to use torque tools and perform torqueing operations. o Standing/Sitting: Requires full time standing with limited resting periods and to walk distances. Sit for extended periods if required. o Weight restriction: Able to Lift/push/pull/carry a minimum of 40 lbs. o Body positioning: Able to twist/bend (neck or waist) and stoop. Able to work in awkward positions as required. Able to squat/kneel/crawl/reach as required.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Experience in aerospace and/or DOD manufacturing or modification involving the installation or modification of electronical components and electrical systems o Understanding of electrical theory o Previous experience working in an ESD environment. o Strong soldering skills o Experience with routing cables and building complex sub-assemblies o Able to read and interpret engineering drawings/electrical schematics, electronic work instructions, and written or verbal instructions. o Experience with small hand tools, like torque wrenches, dimensional tools and gauges, hand trucks, pressure test station, pull test equipment, wire strippers and crimpers, etc. o Must be able to use a computer, Microsoft Office, and have good oral and written communications..

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Excellent situational judgment and display innovative continuous improvement. o Ability to work in a team environment and add value to the team as a whole. o IPC 620 certified, IPC 610 certified, IPC J-STD-001 certified.

EDUCATION:
Accredited High School Diploma/GED

9/80, 1st Shift

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
