Chipton-Ross is seeking a Network Specialist with Firewall Experience for an opportunity in Raleigh, NC.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Northrop Grumman is seeking a Network Specialist with Firewall Experience to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Raleigh, NC. This is an on-site position with no telecommute possibilities. This position is part of the Northrop Grumman's ETS Contract with the United States Postal Service, bringing top of the line professional technologists to their teams.

This individual shall independently perform enterprise-level network troubleshooting, propose enhancements to improve performance and reduce costs of maintaining a compliant network. They shall work independently or semi-independently with a minimum of guidance or direction. There will be occasional on-call and pager rotation with this position.
Roles and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
o Ability to troubleshoot firewalls, Routing/Switching, proxy, and load balancing issues (both Cisco and Juniper)
o Resolve any connectivity issues.
o Implementing firewall change requests (Access List).
o Implementing routing/switching changes.
o Troubleshoot complex L2 and L3 issues.
o Routing/switching design/installation and configuration.
o Coordinate with remote users to install/configure equipment on site.
o Support existing Juniper and Cisco layer 2 and layer 3 infrastructure switches including Cisco's 6500, 2950, and 3550 series LAN switches.
o Design and implement complex network solutions in compliance with customer requirements.
o Evaluate any infrastructure and communications between organization and its vendors.
o Developing system connectivity requirements for connections to external systems, externally facing applications (e.g., FTP servers), and connections via the Internet to development, production, and internal networks.
o Analyzing business cases, architectural diagrams, and supporting documents for connectivity requests.
o Work with Firewall Management Platform.
o Follow Remedy and Service Now tickets to closure.
Prefer: Local to the Raleigh, NC area (this position does not provide relocation assistance)

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors' degree and a minimum of 5 years' of directly related work experience. Additional experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
Minimum 7 total years of networking experience.
Experience with Firewalls (Cisco, Juniper, SRX, ASA) and ACL configuration.
Strong knowledge with CIDR / Subnet Masking.
Strong knowledge of network security.
Preferred Qualifications:
PCI Compliance experience.
CCNA / CCNA Security / CCNP.

EDUCATION:
Bachelors' degree is required. Additional experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.

HOURS:
5/40 workweek

MISCELLANEOUS:

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
