Chipton-Ross is seeking a Network Security - Blue Coat SME for an opportunity in Raleigh, NC.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Northrop Grumman is seeking a Network Security and Blue Coat SME to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Raleigh, NC. This is an on-site position with no telecommute possibilities. This position is part of the Northrop Grumman's ETS Contract with the United States Postal Service, bringing top of the line professional technologists to their teams.
Additional responsibilities for this position include, but not limited to:
o Assist in monitoring, configuration changes, and software updates.
o Analyze and evaluate anomalous network and system activity.
o Assist in troubleshooting and problem solving a variety of security-related network issues.
o Coordinate requirements with users and suppliers.
o Assist to optimize proxy solutions.
o Assists with training other employees on a periodic basis.
o Must be able to interface with individuals at all levels of the organization both verbally and in writing.
Prefer: Local to the Raleigh, NC area as this position does not have relocation assistance.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors' degree and a minimum of 5 years' of directly related work experience. Additional experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
The role requires a technically savvy candidate who can troubleshoot existing complex Blue Coat implementations and lead in the design and implementation of new enterprise-wide or global Blue Coat product deployments.
Have a deep technical understanding of Blue Coat Application Delivery Network technology pillars including Visibility, Acceleration, and Security solutions.
Minimum 7 total years of networking experience.
Experience administrating Symantec Proxy ASG/SG appliances and virtual machines.
Past experience with proxy rules including editing (blocks, additions) using PERL scripting.
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, FTP, cookies, authentication, web filtering, virus scanning, web servers, SSL/encryption and reporting packages.
The ability to use scripting languages.
The ability to manage *NIX type systems.
The ability to troubleshoot proxy issues.
PAC file experience is required.
Strong understanding of enterprise and global strategies and technical challenge.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
BCCP, BCCPP, BCWAA, BCWAP, BCPSA, BCPSP certifications.

EDUCATION:
Bachelors' degree is required.
School must be accredited.

HOURS:
5/40 workweek. There will be occasional on-call and pager rotation with this position.

MISCELLANEOUS:

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
