Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Asstistant 1 for an opening in Marion, MA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Performs a combination of manual and clerical shipping tasks
-Uses computer systems for tracking, logging, verifying, and reporting
-Follows shipping practices and procedures, and transportation routing requirements
-Prepares freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents as required
-Reports materials shipped and bills of lading; routes merchandise through designated freight carriers

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
1 to 3 years experience Must be familiar with shipping documents preparation-Shipping documents, bills, packing slips Ability to utilize dock handling equipment-pallet jacks, hand truck, fork trucks Ability to operate FedEx and UPS shipping stations Experienced in performing ship ready packaging-boxes, pallets, crates, etc. Detail oriented to ensure all documents ship ready for pick up Capability to work in a fast paced shipping environment-coordinating shipments with pick up schedules Experience working in a combination receiving and shipping dock platform People skills and the ability to follow up with stakeholders as needed

EDUCATION:
Accredited High School Diploma/GED

Full-Time


Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
