- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Software Engineer 2 for an opening in Orlando, FL.
Software Engineer with experience in C/C++ for Linux operating systems. The candidate is needed to develop and integrate high-performance modeling and simulation software using C++ with design patterns for an embedded real-time system. Experience with system and software design and architecture is preferred. Experience with tracking and navigation applications also preferred. Prior multi-core and multi-threaded C/C++ programming language required. The candidate will be required to develop data logging, display, and playback capabilities that enable interoperability between the embedded system and simulation environment. The candidate is expected to be a proactive problem solver who is capable of independently develop solutions to complex problems but will also seek technical guidance as required. The candidate will need to apply appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the software life cycle. The individual is expected to take ownership of assigned tasks.
Experience with C/C++ with Linux OS. Experience in software coding, unit test, integration, and verification. Experience with Software integration. Excellent communication skills.
Experience with tracking and navigation applications, multi-core/multi-threaded C/C++ programming, data logging, display and playback functionality, interoperability between embedded and simulation environments. It is desired that the candidate be familiar with researching and using design patterns.
Accredited Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
9/80, 1st Shift
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
