Chipton-Ross is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer 3 for an opening in Moorestown, NJ.

Coordinates with Sourcing, Operations, Design Engineering, the Supply Base and Industry experts to facilitate the design, production, test and qualification of aerospace and defense products. Analyzes technical data, designs, preliminary specifications, manufacturing limitations, supplier facilities, and parts/equipment availability. Facilitate technical trade-offs and standardization that may lead to more economical procurement. Recommends design changes to mitigate production issues. Leads teams of Supplier and internal staff in collaboratively solving problems in Producibility, Quality, Inspection, Cost, Mistake-Proofing, Test, Reliability and Affordability. Develop and refine specifications and requirements flowed down to suppliers and their sub-tiers to reduce program risk.
The role will also routinely include the tasking listed below:
oReview of program contractual and drawing requirements and support inspection activities based on applicable quality flow-down text per the purchase orders

oProviding hands on support to Receiving Inspection personnel on products involving a wide range of mechanical, electro-mechanical and electric disciplines.

oClose coordination with technical, program, procurement and production control and suppliers.

oBasic quality services including: verification of special processes, part acceptance planning, defect analysis, timely root cause and corrective action implementation for affected products.

oMaking recommendations on potential supplier usage based on cost, inspection of facilities, risk assessments, and historical performance.

o Ability to read an interpret engineering drawings.

o Excellent organizational skills and leadership skills o Ability to make strategic decisions while delivering results

o Previous experience preparing and delivering presentations

o Demonstrated knowledge of Root Cause Analysis, Corrective/Preventive Action

o Ability to work in fast paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities.

o Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).

o Good communication skills, both oral and written.

o Strong understanding of AS9100 RevD principals and As9102 First Article Inspection. o Working knowledge of SAP and/or Procure to Pay (P2P) modules o Strong ability to multi-task o Strong communication skills o Excel at working in a team environment o Knowledge of and experience with Geometric Tolerancing & Dimensioning (GD&T). o ISO 9001/AS9100 working knowledge. o Mechanical and electrical knowledge as related to drawings and inspection. o Procurement/Supplier/Source inspection experience o Strong ability to analyze and assess Root Cause Corrective/Preventative Actions for effectivity o Working familiarity with military and industry standards and specifications

BS/BT degree from an accredited college in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Aerospace, Electrical engineering or a related technical degree. Working experience can be substituted for technical degree.

9/80, 1st Shift
