Description


Chipton-Ross is seeking an Electronics Assembly Technician 3 for an opportunity in Warner Robins, GA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables.
Works from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws.
Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed. May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications.
May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) with 6+ years of relevant experience.
Must have current certification to IPC-610 Class 3 (Acceptability of Soldering Electronic Assemblies) and maintain once aboard.
Ability to determine/identify sequence of operations or action to be taken.
Able to make decisions that have an impact on the organization's credibility, operations and service.
Able to wear safety gear, such as steel toed shoes and glasses.
Ability to handle and assemble small parts.
Ability to frequently move and position objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification to IPC-620 (Requirements and Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies).
Certification to IPC-7711C/7721C Class 3 (Rework, Modification and repair of Electronic Assemblies).
Experience with soldering, production work, and fabrication.
Computer skills including proficiency with MS Word and Excel.

EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
School must be accredited.

HOURS:
9/80 workweek.
Must be able to work 2nd shift: M-TH from 3:00p-12:30a / 1st F - 3:00p-11:30p / 2nd F - OFF.

MISCELLANEOUS:

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
