Description


Chipton Ross is seeking an Inspector for an opening in Brea, CA

Responsibilities
Responsible to evaluate and determine detail & assembly parts and test articles meet approved drawings and specifications. Perform all tests, inspections and measurements required by pre-defined instruction; Conduct inspection of incoming raw materials, first article parts, in-process materials, and finished goods; Inspect both work in progress and completed tasks for compliance in accordance with Purchase Order Instructions, Design Drawings & Specifications, Quality Control Plan, Safety, and contractual requirements; Participate in periodic stock inventories and prepare material requisitions for replacement items as required; Coordinate and assist with scheduled inspections with FAA/EASA regulatory personnel; Develop training and train junior individuals on inspection equipment and methods; Perform other quality-related tasks.

Requirements
4+ years in mechanical inspection with focus on aerospace and manufacturing environment
Has developed proficiency through job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience
Completes work with a limited degree of supervision
Likely to act as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience
Read, understand and interpret engineering Drawings (B/Ps) per ASME Y 14.5 or GD&T (Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing).
Inspect product using the appropriate precision equipment to measure the specific dimensions i.e. Calipers, micrometers internal and external, surface plate set-ups are essential.
Understanding and having the ability to complete First article inspection reports (FAIR), either in an AS9102 or other format.
Knowledge of AS9100D, ISO 9001, FAA regulations.

Education
High School Diploma or GED required

Other Skills
Able to read drawing and specifications, understand and follow written procedures and recognize the importance of compliance with quality requirements.

1st Shift, 5/40



Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
