Chipton-Ross is seeking 4 Test & Evaluation Engineer 3's for opening in New Orleans, LA.

Engineer will participate in leak testing of production and fluid systems on the SLS core stage. This includes updating test procedures, test setup, test conduct, test tear down, and paperwork closure. Included in this effort includes components on all major components of the rocket as well as multiple integration points. Leak testing will consists of detection using bubble soap and mass helium spectrometers. Candidate must have the specific Leak Testing (LT) certification per ANSI/ASNT CP-105, Standard Topical Outlines for Qualification of Nondestructive Testing Personnel, , Level I, II, or III. Leak test methods include Bubble testing, Pressure Change, and Mass Spectrometer Testing. In the event that an ASNT certification is not held by the candidate, the candidate shall meet the training, practical experience, and examination criteria for certification per ASNT Recommended Practice No. SNT-TC-1A.

Accredited Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

WORK HOURS: Shift times vary depending on the needs of testing. 2 to 3 week rotations to 2nd shift (2:30 pm to roughly 11 pm) are necessary. Overtime and weekend work are anticipated.

This work assignment has been designated as "safety-sensitive" by the Client. Contractors assigned to safety-sensitive jobs at the Client site must first complete regulatory pre-placement requirements prior to reporting to assignment. Additionally, contractors assigned to safety-sensitive work will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with federal mandates.

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
