Chipton-Ross is seeking an Assembler for an opening in Manassas, VA.
Become a part of a collaborative engineering, manufacturing and quality team that delivers a cost-effective solution to our customer. Be a part of the team that pushes the limits of electro-mechanical assembly by utilizes our robotic and automated assembly cells (including 5- and 6-axis robotic arms, collaborative robots, adhesive dispensing, soldering, automated positioning, and automated optical inspection) to produce high quality product. Performs various manufacturing tasks in a high-rate, semi-automated production line as a key member of the operations team. Uses lean fixtures and automation equipment to build assemblies with low variation and efficiency to drive down cost, meet daily throughput, and deliver high quality product to the customer. Routes wiring, applies various epoxies and chemical compounds, runs automation and test equipment, completes manual assembly using specified hand tools, performs preventative maintenance on equipment, and assists in quality inspections. Works from electronic work instructions, process procedures, and written or verbal direction. Responsible for accurate record keeping, time recording, and safety training. Uses the computer to access work instructions, log discrepancies for scrap/rework, log time, and communicate via email. Constantly moving and on feet with some moderate lifting required.

Accredited High School Diploma/GED

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
