- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Sheet Metal Fabricator for an opening in Archbald, PA.
Set up and operate various sheet metal machines, CNC mills and lathes, mechanical assembly, TIG/MIG Weld and Paint equipment.
Able to read and interpret operation sheets and complex blue prints. Strong Math Background Mechanically-inclined and a fast learner. Able to use overhead hoist and pallet jacks and follow all safety procedures. Able to work safely with cleaning chemicals and solvents. Lift a 50 pound part. Able to operate multiple machines and machine types concurrently. Able to work in a team-oriented environment. Able to work 2nd shift and work OT if necessary.
Previous experience in sheet metal fabrication and assembly, welding or machining in a production environment.
Must differentiate between thread sizes and tell differences between course and fine threads, metric and standard threads.
Use various types of measuring instruments such as calipers, depth gages, micrometers, functional gages, etc.
Understanding of the cutting properties of both ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
Basic Machine Shop Technology training or related job experience.
Experienced in using hand tools for metal finishing.
Painting processes including powder and wet coat painting and marking Chemical conversion processes such as aluminum chromate conversion.
Accredited High School Diploma/GED
4/10, 1st Shift
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
