- Chipton-Ross is seeking 2 Metrology Technician 2's for openings in Torrance, CA.
Calibrates instruments to meet established conformance standards. Tests instrument accuracy and makes adjustments as necessary. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
Requires 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Certification in Metrology or PMEL experience required.
Lifting is generally in the 10 to 15 Lbs. range with minimal repetitions. Exposure to machinery, the following chemical: alcohol, sealants and general cleaners.
Accredited High school diploma or GED.
WORK HOURS: FULL TIME/FIRST SHIFT
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
