- Chipton-Ross is seeking an Electronic Assembler II for an opportunity in Costa Mesa, CA.
The Electronics Assembler candidate will perform electronic assembly of electronic assembly components such as Printed Circuit Boards, Wire Harnesses, Light-Up Displays and Push Button Assemblies. Daily tasks will include:
-Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, wiring and PCB schematics, manufacturing work instructions, and shop routers/travelers to perform assembly work.
-Perform advanced soldering of wires, terminals, contacts, splices and various PCB components.
-Material prepping through the use of wire strippers, hot tweezers, heat guns and crimp tools.
-Performing hardware installation and component installation such as illuminated panels, military connectors, rotary switches, push button assemblies, and various other electro-mechanical components through the use of hand tools, fixtures, pneumatic and power tools.
-Using a variety of precision measuring instruments, gauging devices and test equipment to verify proper function and operation of sub-assemblies and final assemblies.
-Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
-Minimum of 2 to 4 years of Aerospace and Defense electronics manufacturing.
-Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP) or be willing to be trained.
-Must have current or have previously held a J-STD-001 certification with the ability and willingness to be recertified.
-Familiarity with IPC-610, IPC-620 and other workmanship standards is preferred but not required.
-Must possess a high degree of skill and technique for soldering.
-Must possess the ability to perform re-work and self-inspection.
-Must possess the ability to be trained and willing to work in multiple product lines/cells.
-Must have basic understanding of Electrostatic Discharge sensitive materials.
-Must have excellent oral communication skills as well as the ability to understand oral and written instructions and maintain applicable records.
-Must be able to maintain a neat, organized work area.
-Must support and demonstrate compliance with all company policies and safety procedures.
-Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with teammates.
-Must be willing to perform other duties as assigned or directed.
Accredited High School Diploma/GED
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
