Chipton-Ross is seeking an Electronic Technician II for an opportunity in Costa Mesa, CA.
The Electronics Technician candidate will perform electronic assembly testing and assist Electrical Engineer in troubleshooting electronic assembly components such as Printed Circuit Boards, Wire Harnesses, Light-Up Displays and Push Button Assemblies. Daily tasks will include:
-Reviewing Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP's) and engineering drawings to determine test objectives, test equipment and test set-ups required to perform assigned tasks.
-Testing and troubleshooting electronic assemblies to the component level efficiently and accurately.
-Assembling, troubleshooting and maintaining electrical and mechanical test set-ups utilizing various testing equipment.
-Supporting production assembly as needed during production fluctuations.
-Supporting the Light Lab (Dark Room) with lighting testing; Brightness, Chromaticity and Contrast (Training would be provided.)
-Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
-Minimum of 2 to 4 years of Aerospace and Defense electronics manufacturing.
-Must have basic understanding of ERP systems (SAP) or be willing to be trained.
-Must have understanding of basic electrical theory.
-Must have the ability to interpret wiring and PCB schematics.
-Must have experience with Hipot Testing and Insulation Resistance Testing
-Must have experience using Multimeters, Power Supplies and other electronic testing equipment.
-Must have the ability to analyze test results and make suggestions for improvements.
-Must have familiarity with IPC-610, IPC-620, J-STD-001 and other workmanship standards.
-Must have comprehensive understanding of Electrostatic Discharge sensitive materials.
-Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships within cross functional teams
(ie. Manufacturing Engineers, Quality Engineers, Design Engineers and Planners.)
-Must have excellent oral and written communication skills as well as the ability to understand oral and written instructions and maintain applicable records.
-Must support and demonstrate compliance with all company policies and safety procedures.
-Must be willing to perform other duties as assigned or directed.
Accredited High School Diploma/GED
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
