Chipton-Ross is seeking a NC Milling Machinist for an opportunity in Melbourne, FL.
Set up and operate NC milling machines to perform machining operations such as compound angles and contours; boring compound angular holes; doing helical and spiral milling; serrating; and gear spline, keyway cutting to exacting tolerances. Selects, mounts, and aligns various specialized machine attachments and standard or improvising tooling; plans sequences of operations, number of cuts required, and methods of setup; determines, sets and adjusts speeds, feeds, and depth of cut; interprets blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications; uses a variety of machinist hand tools and precision measuring instruments; makes standard shop computations; and measures, marks and scribes dimensions and reference points to lay out stock for machining. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. Requires experience. Exclude general, all-around machinists and operators who do not perform own setups or determine sequence of operations.
High School degree/GED.
Experience with NX.
Experience with programming for NC Machining.
NX programming and posting.
Experience with Gantry 5 axis Machining.
High School degree/GED is required.
School must be accredited.
9/80 workweek; 2nd shift. Shift starts at 2:30PM.
Possibility of working 60 hours per week. Please make sure candidate is aware of this.
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
