Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking an Engineering Manufacturing Liaison for an opening in San Diego, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Manufacturing Engineering Liaison directly supports the delivery of all hardware and documentation required by the respective contract.
" Works with SolidWorks solid modeling computer-aided design/engineering program.
" May work in other computer-aided design and engineering programs.
" Supports manufacturing engineering work under the supervision of more senior engineers.
" Responsible for providing construction/manufacturing engineering support to GA EMS programs/projects, such as CVN 79 EMALS/AAG production, Undersea Domain products, high voltage capacitors, radiation monitoring systems, Gulftronic separator systems, and missile defense systems.
" Effectively organizes and executes work assignments to meet project milestones..
" Uses analytical, verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report, and present findings. Effectively uses MS Office applications to execute work activities.
" Reviews engineering specifications and drawings. Confers across functional areas to provide and obtain technical information.
" Advises more senior engineers and management of the status of work in progress.
" Works in SAP on procurement actions and material planning.
" Contributes to process and procedure improvements for the department.
" Works independently or in a team environment. Ability to work extended hours and to travel, as required.
" Performs other duties as assigned or required.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
o Experience in manufacturing environment.
o Basic working knowledge of SolidWorks solid modeling computer-aided design/engineering program.
o Knowledge in other computer-aided design and engineering programs is a plus.
o Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
o Experience working with SAP is a plus.
o Metal fabrication experience is a plus.
o Weld and press break tooling/fixture experience a plus.
o Experienced working with "Bills of Material"
o Knowledge of production support principles/concepts are a plus.
o Must be customer focused (internal and external) and possess the enthusiasm to do the job right the first time.
o Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
o Ability to work independently or in a team environment is essential as is the ability to work extended hours and travel as required.

EDUCATION:
Accredited bachelor's degree in business, planning or a related discipline. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
