Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking an Engineering Technician for an opportunity in Dayton, Oh

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs a variety of complex technical duties, under only occasional supervision, including the fabrication, assembly, test, troubleshooting, analysis, evaluation, modification, and operation of complex electrical and electronic circuits and equipment in support of Eddy Current Inspection systems.

Assists engineers by performing lower-level engineering design. On a system basis, performs tests, and analyzes test data for validity. Is proficient in the use of computerized test equipment to perform system or component analysis.

Applies advanced technical knowledge, gained through education and experience, to accomplish the work necessary to develop deliverable end products from engineering documentation and drawings.

Makes complex repairs including replacement of components parts based on troubleshooting results. Fabricates and assembles complex components in accordance with instructions. Fabricates prototype units based on limited instruction applying technical experience and knowledge . May perform cable fabrication and integration of equipment into larger systems.

Assists in design activities by compiling data related to the design, technical specifications and components materials needed for finished units.

Performs research on parts or equipment as required to assist engineering staff.

Gathers information on parts or equipment concerning previous operational failures and modifications. May compile system documentation on completed units to include test reports, installation and assembly documentation.

Proficient in the use of hand tools, test equipment, dial indicators and measuring equipment and is knowledgeable in shop procedures and techniques as applied to engineering projects.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of four years of directly related work experience as a technician per the above stated position duties. In lieu of education, require at least 8 years of related experience.

EDUCATION:
Accredited Associates of Science degree in Engineering Technology or related field or military technical training program or completion of technical institute program.

WORK HOURS:
Full-Time/First Shift

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
