Description


Chipton-Ross is seeking a Microelectronic Technician 1 for an opportunity in Manhattan Beach, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Occupants of the Microelectronic Technician 1 positions in the Semiconductor Materials Department are responsible for growing semiconductor crystals using Molecular Beam Epitaxial (MBE) systems under the instruction of the supervisor and engineers. Detailed duties include but are not limited to preparing wafers for crystal growth, loading (unloading) wafers into (off) the MBE chambers, setting up recipes. The technician also supports engineers on MBE system troubleshooting and maintenance and other lab related tasks.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
High School degree/GED is required.
Good communication skills.
Detail oriented.
Team player focused.
Must be able to frequently lift and move equipment weighing up to twenty pounds.
Must be able to see over chambers of Five (5) Feet Six (6) Inches in height.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience preparing wafers for crystal growth a plus.
Previous experience working with Molecular Beam Epitaxial chambers a plus.

EDUCATION:
High School degree/GED is required.
School must be accredited.

HOURS:
9/80 workweek.
Candidate will start 1st shift THEN will be moved to 2nd shift from 2PM to 11:30PM. Make sure candidate is aware of this.

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
