Chipton-Ross is seeking a Dimension Control Technician 2 for an opportunity in St. Augustine, FL.

Lays out, fabricates and assembles a variety of standard and nonstandard major jigs, fixtures, tool masters, master tooling gauges, and related tooling involving compound angels and complex contours where the establishment and coordination to exacting tolerances of numerous tooling holes and reference points between several planes are required. Plans work to be performed and determines methods and sequence of operations working from tool design drawings or own designs. Sets up and operates optical instruments to check overall and detailed alignment, fit, or adjustment of assemblies. Develops and designs holding devices and jig and fixture details. Prepares operational sequences and shop drawings covering parts fabrication and assembly to be performed by others. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

High school diploma and/or GED plus at least 2 years' of experience in a technician-type of position.
The ability to frequently move and position objects weighing 35 pounds.
Knowledge of Metrology Processes including setting details with a laser tracker.
Use of MS Office Product.
Preferred Qualifications:
Working knowledge of Build-it.

High school diploma and/or GED is required.
School must be accredited.

This position will begin as a 4/10 workweek from December 2019 to March 2020.
Thereafter it will change to a 3/12 workweek: Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 6AM to 6:30PM. Make sure candidate is aware of this.

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
