Chipton-Ross is seeking a Mortgage Loan Closer/Funder for an opportunity in Gardena, CA.

The Mortgage Loan Closer/Funder will be responsible for initiating the closing process on cleared to close mortgage files by balancing out final closing disclosures/estimated settlement statements both internally and externally with the title/escrow offices. The Mortgage Loan Closer/Funder will be responsible for preparing loan documents, sending them to closing offices, and coordinating closing process with parties including borrowers, escrow, title, and any other involved parties within the final loan closing process. The Mortgage Loan Closer/Funder will be responsible for preparing wire requests, funding duties, and onboarding new loans onto the loan servicing system. Ensure that all NGFCU fees are accurately included on all files. Balance out NGFCU itemization screen with title/escrow's final closing figures. Send final closing disclosures to member in accordance with customary real estate lending requirements. Accurately prepare all required mortgage loan documents. Send final closing documents to closing office. Coordinate loan docs signing with member and closing offices. Follow up on signed loan packages. Establish impound escrow accounts on files as needed. Accurately send out completed wire request forms. Accurately onboard new loans to loan servicing system. Meet all established and requested deadlines. Perform other duties as assigned.
Temporary position: 3-6 months only.

Minimum 3 years of Escrow/Title/Loan Funding experience in a mortgage lending role.
Must have 3 years of experience working with FNMA/FreddieMac/FHLB guidelines and standard industry guidelines.
Thorough knowledge of state and federal mortgage lending regulations.
Strong knowledge of California (and national) mortgage loan documentation is required.
Demonstrated capability of successfully managing a mortgage lending pipeline with a progressively increased level of productivity and efficiency with all mortgage loan products.
Must be detail oriented, organized, and have proven analytical skills.
Must work well independently and be self-motivated.
Must demonstrate outstanding time management skills and strong communications skills.

High School degree/GED is required.
School must be accredited.

5/40 workweek. 9:30AM to 6PM PST

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
