Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Inspector for an opening in Simi Valley, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintains quality standards by approving incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products; recording quality results. This position reports to the Quality Assurance Director.
o Inspector is responsible for inspection of products at various stages of the production process in accordance with the company’s procedures for safety and quality.
o The Inspector will be required to use various measuring devices to accept, reject, or reevaluate defective or malfunctioning units or systems. Inspectors will work from blueprints, diagrams; dial indicators, micrometers, scales, fixtures, customer specifications, drawing or inspection instructions and checklists as applicable..
o Ability to both read and interpret the requirements of drawings and planning.
o Perform complex tests using instruments and equipment
o Ability to analyze drawing requirements and made sound determination(s) of the appropriate inspection method/equipment to be used for product acceptance.
o Test, measure, and analyze products.
o Ability to use all inspection/test equipment, to include the usage of a coordinate measurement machine (CMM) manual and or DCC, in determining product acceptance.
o Ability to construct complex inspection set-up(s) and perform required inspections (using set-up) to determine product acceptance.
o Ability to initiate and complete all quality (Inspection) related records and documents with minimal supervision.
o Self starter. Able to multitask with inspections in a fast pace environment.
o Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
o Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
o Accomplishes quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
This position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 5 years’ experience performing critical and complex inspection.
IPC-A-610 and 620 Certification preferred.
Minimum of 5 years experience in performing board and cable inspection.
Must be able to use calipers, micrometers, height gage and other small hand tools.
Experience with CMMs preferred
Must be proficient with surface plate set ups.
Must be proficient with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Weld Inspections – Experience is preferred. Must be willing & able to become proficient.
Calibration - Experience with routine calibration system requirements is preferred. Must be willing & able to learn.
Electrical - Experience with electrical products such as components, circuit boards (IPC-610), cables (IPC-620) is also preferred. Must be willing & able to complete the required IPC training & certification.
Fork Lift - Experience is preferred. Must be willing & able to complete the required training & certification.
High Work - Experience is preferred. Must be willing & able to complete the required training & certification.

Accredited High School Diploma/GED

9/80, 1st Shift
Full-Time

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
