- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Lab Support Technician for an opening in Princeton, NJ.
Buffer Preparation / Support
Ensure GENERAL USE buffers and Project specific Buffers are prepared and re-supplied as needed for downstream development purposes up to 200 L. Update and maintain buffer inventory. Ensure the buffer inventory database is up to date.
Properly document lab activities in lab notebook, logbooks and binder. Supervisor or delegate will review the buffer documents for accuracy.
Daily standardization and maintenance of pH and conductivity meters. Maintain small and large equipment. Ensure logbook or log sheet is available for each equipment. Ensure all logbook or log sheet entries are complete.
Stock Lab and Pilot Room
Maintain inventory of all general use lab supplies by ordering and stocking supply cabinets. Maintain chemical inventory ensure to remove expired chemicals and notify the team or project lead to re-order the chemical.
Washing, disinfecting and autoclaving glassware and supplies as needed.
Ensure AKTA waste containers are neutralized to pH 6 – 8 before dumping down the drain. Waste carboy – limit on volume/weight due to safety concern if lifting heavy containers to sink level.
Support equipment preventative Maintenance activities
Ensure buffers / supplies are available if vendor / contractor specified them.
Equipment logbook or log sheet
Ensure logbook or log sheet is available for each equipment. Ensure all logbook or log sheet entries are complete. Ensure all lab spaces are organized and presentable.
Accredited High School Diploma/GED
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
