- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Sr. Automation Factory Technician for an opening in Carlsbad, CA.
Comply with all company safety regulations and procedures and report non-compliance.
Serve as an effective safety steward by ensuring accurate reporting of near misses, attending and facilitating safety trainings and MSDS
Operate a safe work environment through continuous safety awareness and full compliance to all EH&S programs and activities.
Review job specific tasks, work areas, and equipment used to ensure employee safety and drive improvement.
At least ten years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Proficiency with relevant systems and equipment and understanding of the related regulatory requirements needed
Prior experience with equipment function/troubleshooting
Prior experience with customer relations/process improvements
Solid communications, customer service and technical skills necessary.
Stretches across borders, breaks silos and builds effective partnerships with customers and colleagues
Embraces and leverages diversity of culture and thought
Works in a laboratory environment. Is required to lift up to 40 lbs. May be required to stand for long periods of time while performing duties. Must be able to work safely with chemicals and hazardous materials. Must be able to work overtime and flexible shifts.
This position is not eligible for relocation benefits.
Accredited High school diploma or equivalent, Associates degree or higher preferred or equivalent job experience. Technical certification in more than one relevant mechanical and/or electrical trade preferred.
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
