Chipton-Ross is seeking a Tanium Systems Administrator for an opportunity in Raleigh, NC.
Northrop Grumman is seeking a Systems Administrator with Tanium experience to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Raleigh, NC and is on-site with no telecommute possibilities. This position is part of the Northrop Grumman's ETS Contract with the United States Postal Service, bringing top of the line professional technologists to their teams.
Roles and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Design and implementation of Tanium endpoint software to a large enterprise environment.
Conduct detailed analysis of software and patch status.
Derive questions for polling endpoints.
Report findings to upper level management with recommendations on how to correct issues.
Create scripts as needed to ensure policy compliance with software and patch levels.
Analyze reports and make recommendations for remediation.
Play a lead role in meetings relating to specific technical projects or tasks.
Participate in the preparation of materials and oral presentations for customers and management.
May be required to mentor other team members.
May be required to work off-shift, weekend and overtime hours.
May be required to lead projects.?
Prefer: Local to the Raleigh, NC area, this position does not provide relocation experience.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 5 years of relevant experience. 4 years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of degree (Total of 9 years relevant experience with a high school degree).
Past experience with Tanium, BigFix, or SCCM end point management software.
A thorough understanding of how applications install on the Microsoft Windows platforms.
Strong proficiency in scripting language - Powershell, VB, and/or Python.
Knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft Registry and ability to query or modify settings.
Knowledge of MS operating systems (desktops and servers).
Knowledge of Linux.
Strong problem solving skills and goal driven.
Ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
Direct Tanium administration experience.
Experience working in a large enterprise environment and networks.
High school degree OR Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
