Description


Chipton-Ross is seeking a Principal Cyber Operator for an opportunity in Aurora, CO.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Principal Cyber Operator will support the newly
awarded, five year, Air Force Space Command (AFSPC) Cyber Defense Engineering and Training II (CDET II) contract at Buckley AFB, Colorado in supporting either the SMC/RNC.
Duties:
o Serves as Site Lead.
o Maintain availability after normal duty hours or authorized a designee, which shall be available for discussions via teleconference within 30 minutes and on-site within 2 hours of notification.
o Serves as single point of contact between the Government and contractor personnel for the site.
o Responsible for providing qualified and certified personnel within identified timeframes and during normal and all contingency scenarios.
o Performs investigations and analysis of systems and networks within the networking environment or enclave and identifies where those systems and networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy.
o Evaluates incident response procedures and capabilities.
o Evaluate and suggest mitigations for potential issues.
o Identify threat vectors (including malware) and developing COAs for mitigation. Coordinate actions for both internal and external organizations.
o Routinely reviews lessons learned, root-cause analysis and issues with countermeasures and provide process improvement recommendations for policies/procedures and infrastructure defense.
o Assist in production and modification of technical data required for implementation of DCO solutions, system authorization documentation, and mission system baseline changes.
o Provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of increasing scope and complexity as assigned.
o Contributes to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
BS degree and a minimum of 5 Years of experience. May consider 4 additional years of experience in lieu of degree (9 years relevant experience with a high school degree).
Minimum 3 Years of SIEM/IDS/IPS maintenance/implementation experience.
Complete understanding and wide application of technical principle, theories, and techniques applied to the cyber security field.
Must possess general knowledge of other related disciplines.
Ability to independently determine and develop approach to solutions.
Demonstrates the skill and ability to perform complex professional tasks.
Active IAT III certification required. One Required Certification from the following: CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH.
Active certification required from one of the following: CEH, CFR, CCNA Cyber Ops, CCNA-Security, CySA+, CHFI, GCIH, GCFA, SCYBER.

EDUCATION:
High School degree/GED or Bachelor's degree is required.
School must be accredited.

HOURS:
5/40 workweek.

MISCELLANEOUS:
Applicants responding to this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements by currently possessing the ability to view classified government information.

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
