Chipton-Ross is seeking a Contract Staff Software Engineer for an opportunity in Melbourne, FL.
The Staff Software Engineer will develop, modify and maintain customized or standardized embedded Mission Systems applications using software engineering best practices and standards, and participate in the full life-cycle of software development, to include requirements development, modeling and design, application development, unit to CSCI testing, integration, formal system testing, release, installation, and maintenance.
Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university plus 14 years of relevant experience or Master's Degree plus 12 years of experience.
Experience developing software with C/C++.
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Experience developing software for safety critical embedded systems.
Experience working within an Agile environment.
Familiarity with software development tools such as Git, CMake, VectorCAST, and Eclipse.
Knowledge of Linux systems and basic commands.
Knowledge of software design patterns, algorithms, and data structures.
Familiarity with software requirements tools such as DOORS and Rational Rhapsody.
Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university, or Master's Degree is required.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering is preferred.
