- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Software Developer for an opportunity in Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, OH.
Provides software development and data analytic support to United States Air Force (USAF) Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Overhead Persistent Infrared program. Responsible for collaborating with USAF and Joint Staff users to identify requirements. Develop source code for use in data acquisition, cleansing, aggregation, analysis, machine learning, and simulation. Apply software engineering discipline to technical problems and procedures using knowledge, tools, and methods for software requirements, design, construction, and testing. Employ data ingestion, curation, and transformation processes to create complete data environments for use within use cases. Solicit requirements from users. The effort will enable studies for increasing the automated capability for Geospatial detections and geospatial location accuracy. The studies will be performed on automated data detections, enabling tactical ISR analysts the ability to react to enemy tactics and techniques. Will include participating in operation exercises with Combatant Commands to evaluate the usefulness of the tools being delivered to the field. The software code will be assessed with AFRL engineers to recommend additions to the efficiency of the tool, ensuring the fastest means possible for the output of the tools. Evaluate engineering efforts to speed up automated detection methods for related costumers, draft a concept of operations with examples of data usage, and demonstrate applicable technologies in two exercises.
Accredited BS in Computer Science or related field plus 3 years’ experience related experience.
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
