Chipton-Ross is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer for an opportunity in Baltimore, MD.
The selected individual will be responsible for the design, development and integration of real time embedded software for an Electronic Warfare system. The work will involve design, development, integration, debugging, and verification of software and VxWorks drivers, primarily in C/C++.
The selected individual:
Will need to interface with other business disciplines such as: systems engineering to develop software requirements and technical specifications and program management to discuss technical program issues.
Will need to track defects, develop resolutions and report technical status.
Will need to develop and execute unit-level and product verification test plans, and track and report test status.
May be involved with conducting reviews of software related products, software designs, and additional technical documents.
May be required to actively participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPT) design reviews and other reviews.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other STEM program.
Must have 5+ years of Software development experience.
Experience with C/C++.
Experience with VxWorks.
Experience with Network File System (NFS) device drivers.
Successful working with a multi-discipline based team.
Ability to successfully contribute with minimal supervision.
Must be a self-starter and be able to efficiently operate in a small team environment.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other STEM program is required.
School must be accredited.
