Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking a Stress Engineer for an opening in Mojave, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analyze structural components, both on existing vehicles and potential new designs, for static and fatigue strength
Review vehicle designs and operations to ensure compliance with structural integrity requirements
Support large scale structural testing to verify vehicles meet design intent and requirements
Support small scale component and material testing to improve analysis methods and manufacturing processes

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Candidate must have relevant stress experience.
0-2+ years of applicable experience in the analysis of aerospace structures
Knowledgeable in Finite Element Analysis using Femap/Nastran or similar
Experience with free-body diagrams and classical stress analysis techniques
Familiar with Solid Modeling Software such as CATIA V5 or similar
Hands-on experience with composites part fabrication and assembly processes is a plus
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills

EDUCATION:
Accredited Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering

WORK HOURS:
Full-Time

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
