- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst for an opening in Huntsville, AL.
The Shared Business Services (SBS) Senior Financial Analyst owns the development, implementation and execution of plans in accordance with the Company's Prepayment initiative as well as performing a multitude of accounting and financial analysis activities and process improvements that support the initiatives and goals of Shared Business Services Units: Payroll, A/P, A/R, Fixed Assets, Travel & Expense, and Business Systems.
40% - Completing all accounting and general ledger activity associated with the enterprise prepayment processes while working with the Supply Chain and Accounts Payable partners.
20%-Prepare prepayment account reconciliations to include performing analytical reviews monthly and quarterly.
25%-Support other SBS initiatives such as backup to the Enterprise RNI, analytical analysis, and other financial areas as defined.
15%-Support external and internal, SOX, and Government Compliance audit requests
Demonstrated skills, including the ability to plan, organize, coordinate, direct, and control the activities of the assigned organization.
Knowledge and experience in GAAP, FAR, and SOX.
Experience in Government contracting experience preferred.
Customer service oriented with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectations and the ability to serve multiple customers and deliver an excellent experience.
Must be self-motivated and a self-starter, providing updated and relevant information proactively.
Must be a skilled communicator, with well-developed verbal, written and presentation ability.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
Prior experience in Oracle is highly desirable.
Accredited Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline and six (6) years of directly related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
