Chipton-Ross is seeking a Dimension Control Technician 4 for an opportunity in El Segundo, CA.
Lays out, fabricates and assembles a variety of standard and nonstandard major jigs, fixtures, tool masters, master tooling gauges, and related tooling involving compound angels and complex contours where the establishment and coordination to exacting tolerances of numerous tooling holes and reference points between several planes are required. Plans work to be performed and determines methods and sequence of operations working from tool design drawings or own designs. Sets up and operates optical instruments to check overall and detailed alignment, fit, or adjustment of assemblies. Develops and designs holding devices and jig and fixture details. Prepares operational sequences and shop drawings covering parts fabrication and assembly to be performed by others. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
High School and 7 years related experience.
Jig and Fixture Experience.
Laser equipment Faro / Leica experience.
Candidate must be able to stand for extended periods of time, candidate must be able to climb ladders and stairs in order to gain access to the work areas.
6-10 years Experience in Jig and Fixture Building.
6-10 years Experience Utilizing Laser Equipment & Measurement Software.
High school diploma or GED is required.
School must be accredited.
9/80 workweek. 1st shift - 05:00am-02:42pm OR 2nd shift 01:30pm -11:00pm.
Candidate can be assigned at either shift. Please make sure candidate is aware.
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
