- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Software Engineer 2 located in Hazelwood, MO.
The T-38 SEIT is seeking a talented software engineering teammate to support the team and learn from current T-38 technical leadership. The program has unique technical challenges (non-client OEM products) and a wide variety of technical scope. The T-38, is a high altitude supersonic aircraft used by the USAF, NATO, USN, and NASA in various roles. The client T-38 Program is currently executing services from all of the client Global Services capabilities (EM&M, T&PS, Supply Chain, and DA&A). More specifically, the program is performing avionics integration and modernization, engineering and software support services, courseware development and simulator support, field service and COMBS support, and PBL flying hour services. The T-38C aircraft in training roles are expected to be replaced by the T-X over the next 20 years, however the T-38C aircraft are expected to remain operational in other roles for the foreseeable future.
Assists with the development, documentation and maintenance of architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems. Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system. Assists with test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met. Supports software project management and software supplier management functions. Selects, tailors and deploys processes and tools; establishes metrics. Performs software research and trade studies. Troubleshoots software issues. Works under general supervision.
Experience in C/C++
Highly Desirable: Experience in Ada, Experience with Microsoft Developer Studio, Experience with Subversion, Experience with VxWorks, Experience with OFPs and/or ground station products.
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Minimal, if any, travel may be required.
FULL TIME/FIRST SHIFT
WORK HOURS: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
