- Chipton-Ross is seeking 3 Industrial Engineers 4's for an opportunity at Kennedy Space Center, FL.
A successful candidate must work well with others, be willing to stretch beyond their experience base and to take risks to achieve objectives. This position is best suited to individuals who are self-starters, highly motivated, work well in fast paced multi-discipline team environments, and eager to take on assignments outside their expertise. Participates on Integrated Product Team (IPTs) in analyzing product development, complex producibility studies and production/tooling philosophies. Refines, validates, coordinates and implements conceptual designs and manages the program architecture for build. Develops manufacturing plans and oversees plan optimization. Conducts complex producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements. Resolves complex technical problems. Ensures that contract requirements, specifications, design criteria and schedule performance are integrated and maintained. Provides advanced design solutions and supports research of new product or business opportunities. Deploys company Lean Enterprise analysis methods. Documents and communicates producibility best practices. Provides guidance to others through structured mentoring.
Prefer experience with Space Launch Vehicle Design & Manufacturing.
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
FULL TIME/FIRST SHIFT
WORK HOURS: 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM
May also need support for the Space Launch System (SLS) Program located at the Michoud Assembly Facility, New Orleans, Louisiana.
This work assignment has been designated as "safety-sensitive" by the Client. Contractors assigned to safety-sensitive jobs at the Client site must first complete regulatory pre-placement requirements prior to reporting to assignment. Additionally, contractors assigned to safety-sensitive work will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with federal mandates.
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
