Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking a Software Engineer for an opportunity in El Segundo, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leads integration and test of complex software components into a fully functional software system. Develops software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met adhering to TOR process requirement's. Ensure software requirements for clarity and testability. Create verification matrix to ensure all requirements are fully satisfied. Identify and plan for various test methods and ensure proper simulation and test equipment are scoped and planned. Provide test analysis and report to show full compliance to software requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:
•Responsible for requirements analysis, integration and formal qualification.
•Experience in analyzing system requirements and decomposing them to software requirements.
•Candidate should possess excellent communications skills to participate in requirements, design and code reviews, have a thorough understanding of version control and software quality attributes, such as testability, portability and maintainability, and enjoy a self-driven and collaborative development approach.
•Candidate should possess excellent communications skills and works well in a team environment.
•Must be able to interact well with System Engineers/Analyst as well other members of the Integrated Product Team.
•Excellent oral and written communication skills and experience in presenting at program major reviews as well as lead the technical contents of all software technical documents.
•Familiarity with formal development process and current software engineering topics is highly desired.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
•Experience decomposing system/subsystem requirements into software requirements
•Experience leading a team of software engineers using agile development process for integration and formal test
•5+ years’ experience using DOORs and UML software modelling tools
•7+ years of hands-on experience integration and test of software systems
•15+ years of direct experience designing and developing software for a real time or non real-time system.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
•Experience working with system/subsystem engineers
•Experience working with external software suppliers
•Experience integrating large scale software systems.
•Experience with avionics control algorithms, hardware interfaces and I/O device drivers, networking, SQL and non-relational databases, web-based development.
•Experience working in a classified environment and compliant with TOR standards.
•Experience in Java, C#, JavaScript, Python and TCL a plus.
•Embedded/real-time OS (e.g. VxWorks) experience a plus.
•UML modeling, test-driven development, agile process and DevOps tools experience desired.
•Familiarity with real-time embedded software development that includes requirements analysis through Formal Qualification.
•Experience with Linux/Unix operating system, software development for math intensive algorithms, integration of COTS software, UML or other modeling language, SQL DB, DOORs, or ClearCase a major plus.
•Prior avionics and payload software development experience is a plus.
•Familiarity with formal development process and current software engineering topics is highly desired.

EDUCATION:
Accredited Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

WORK HOURS: 8:00AM-6:00PM
Full-Time/First Shift

MISCELLANEOUS:

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
