- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Records & Information Management Specialist 3 located in Mesa, AZ.
The client is seeking motivated & talented Records and Information Management Specialist Level 3 to support our Records & Information Management team. Our Records & Information Management (RIM) Office is responsible for maintaining a uniform global RIM program for the control, retention, storage, retrieval, and disposal of all records and information, regardless of media type, for all functions of the client. This team of RIM professionals will support ongoing program operations and strategic initiatives to streamline and simplify the global RIM program. This position will be responsible for assisting in the administration of the Offsite Record Storage Service and associated contracted services. Participate in strategic projects with industry leaders with the focus of enabling business leaders and data owners to govern all of their information assets across their enterprise. Providing solutions enabling business leaders to make actionable decisions as to what to keep, what to dispose of and how to better protect their information assets.
Under the supervision of the RIM Program Manager specific responsibilities include:
Assist in resolving issues escalated from Records Steward and / or Program Manager
Escalate questions to RIM Process Owner
Informs Records Steward and / or Program Manager of any determinations made by RPO. Provide strategic and operational guidance as they develop the Office of Record file plans. Provides guidance and support to Office of records to identify legal, regulatory, contractual, and operational record retention requirements and coordinates a change to a retention period for retaining and disposing of business records. Provide support in the operation of on-site and off-site physical records storage process, and make determinations and provide guidance on the proper transfer, storage, retention and destruction of records in compliance with company RIM program policies and procedures. Assist in the development of processes, procedures and metrics related to the management of off-site physical record storage operations. Assist with maintaining and supporting end-user utilization of the client RIM Program Offsite Record Storage Service operations. Assist end users with the enforcement of the enterprise retention schedule into offsite record storage operations. Assist in the evaluation and strategy to simplify the management of company records and information. Assist in the communication and end-user support of the Offsite Record Storage service, and assist with conducting general awareness/education. Assist in coaching, training, and/or mentoring others in the lifecycle management of business records and information. Perform a gap assessment on current standards and policies to identify opportunities for process refinement and enhancement. Engage with functional Office of Records Program Managers and Record Stewards to develop strategies to comply with internal and external requirements, identify risk associated with company records and information, develop risk mitigation action plans and recommend best practices.
Experience in process management/project management. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Strong analytical skills to evaluate processes, determine gaps, and oversee resolution as required.
Excellent verbal, written, communication, and presentation skills
Accredited Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc
