Chipton-Ross is seeking a Library Support Specialist I for an opportunity in El Segundo, CA.
Performs a variety of clerical duties in a library. Researches and circulates library books, documents, and periodicals. Searches for, recalls, and makes available library materials. Controls periodicals. Assists Archivist and Records Manager with retrieving and re-shelving materials.
Fulfills requests for books and journals from library collections.
Charges and discharges library print materials.
Checks in and displays journal issues.
Re-shelves books and journals.
Maintains book and journal stacks.
Some lifting required.
Must have 2 or more years of relevant experience with High School Diploma or equivalent.
Must have some library resources training.
High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
School must be accredited.
Part Time. Minimum 20 hours per week. Schedule MUST be consistent every week (NO random scheduling allowed). Scheduled days & hours is to be determined by manager and contractor upon hire.
Our ideal schedule would be some hours every day, but we would not object to, for instance, two full days and one half day. However, we do not want someone with a schedule that changes every week at random.
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
