Chipton-Ross is seeking a Field Support Specialist for an opening in Imperial Beach, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position plays a key role in meeting internal and external customer needs and maintaining customer confidence at an unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV) manufacturer. As the Field Engineering Specialist, you will support the field support engineers. You will play a key role in keeping engineering activities and facility operations organized and on track by providing operational, planning, logistics, administrative, and facility support to the field engineering team. The successful candidate will excel at teamwork, as well as working independently. The ability to work with people in various roles and to treat individuals with respect is important. Must have the ability to take ownership for the position and work without continuous management supervision. Must have ability to track multiple activities simultaneously.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and ensure tasks are completed on time, often requiring the initiative to develop and initiate processes to accomplish this.
Provide operational and administrative support to the Field Engineering Manager and the Field Engineering team
Acts as first line of contact and responds to email requests from internal and external customers.
Good with systems and effective with people. He/She will utilize the ERP System to enter and manage orders, log and track quality complaints, and research and resolve customer issues.
Responsible for Final preparation, packaging and shipment
Work as part of a team, with a flexible & proactive approach to increase and maintain the quality of service.
Position requires the ability to interface with customers, providing support to the Field Engineering team and the Customer Support Engineering team by coordinating training activities, demonstration events, coordinating RMA/repair activities, and representing the company as a highly regarded professional
Demonstrate a strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
Possess excellent communication skills, quality commitment, customer focus, strong interpersonal skills and be adaptable.
Ability to effectively interact with all levels of management.
Manage calendars, schedule and coordinate meetings and events
Interface with high-level internal and external contacts
Ensure consistency and collaboration amongst other administrators/teams
Coordinate with security personnel to ensure clearances and facilities are suitable for the meeting purpose
May perform some research or data analysis tasks
Coordinate engagement events and support additional projects as needed
Provide knowledge and accurate information to customers.
Professionally communicate with customers concerning order status, changes to orders, returns and other critical customer concerns and questions.
As required, interface with freight vendors and customers to provide delivery times, shipping costs, and other essential customer order information concerning shipping and delivery.
Willingness to learn and collaborate with staff in all levels of the business.
Flexibility (Ability to adjust to changing priorities).
Any other job related duties as assigned by management.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Experience and proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Power Point).
Working knowledge of Salesforce is preferred.
Working knowledge of Jira, Bugzilla, or similar software development management tool is preferred.

EDUCATION:
Accredited Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience or 2 years post-Secondary/ Associates Degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience, or high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience. (i.e., Program Control, Contracts, Scheduling)

9/80, 1st Shift
Full-Time

MISCELLANEOUS: Applicants responding to this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements by currently possessing the ability to view classified government information.

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
