Description


Chipton-Ross is seeking an Aircraft Structures Mechanic 3 for an opportunity in Moss Point, MS.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Read and understand blueprints.
Basic sealant application.
Translate blueprints into fabrications of structural assemblies to include: precision drilling, countersinking, and the use of calibrated tools.
Aligning parts on jigs using templates and fixtures.
Performing part-fitting operations: filing sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling and reaming.
Measures parts with micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions.
May modify incomplete and complete assemblies to incorporate changes to structure and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
Required ability to perform moderately strenuous physical and repetitious work to include: bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting, and working overhead.
Must be able to lift over 25lbs.
Must be able to access small confined spaces and work in an enclosed environment.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years related experience.
Must be able to pass medical/respiratory assessments.
Must be able to work in confined spaces.

EDUCATION:
High School Diploma/GED is required.
School must be accredited.

HOURS:
4/10 workweek; multiple shift - candidate must be able to work 1st or 2nd shift.

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
