Chipton-Ross is seeking a Production Planner and Scheduler 2 for an opportunity in Newport News, VA.
Develop Schedules using Microsoft Project.
Plans sequence of fabrication, assembly, installation, and other manufacturing operations relating to specific portion of the product for guidance of production workers. Plans detail operations from blueprints, engineering orders, change notices, and other engineering releases. Determines the need for tooling and makes recommendations for the design and planning of required tools. Prepares shop work orders for materials and product processing and coordinates with schedulers to ensure that items are being processed according to specifications and time requirements. Maintains progress reports, schedules, and other related records.
Driving at NNS will be required. Travel may be required.
PPE required: Ear Muffs, Hard Hat, Safety Glasses, Steel Toe Boots
This position will specifically: Work within O64.
The primary work site location is building 77.
Bachelor's Degree in related field with 3 years relevant experience OR Master's degree and 1 years of relevant professional experience.
Candidate must be able to read Ship Alteration Drawings.
Bachelor's Degree or Master's degree is required.
School must be accredited.
This position is first shift, Monday-Friday, 7:00 am- 3:30 pm.
