Chipton-Ross is seeking an Aircraft Structure Mechanic 3 for an opportunity in Palmdale, CA.
Performs a variety of operations to assemble and make major assembly structures such as fuselage panels and bulkheads, and structural subassemblies such as rudders, flaps, and stabilizers. Aligns parts on jigs using templates and fixtures. Performs such minor part-fitting operations as filing, sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling, and reaming. Measures parts with micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions. May modify incomplete and complete assemblies to incorporate changes to structure. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of Aircraft Structures experience.
Candidates need the ability to perform moderately strenuous physical and repetitious work to include bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting, working overhead, and the ability to be certified for half & full mask with no medical restrictions or limitations.
Advance knowledge in structural assembly
High School Diploma/GED is required.
School must be accredited.
4/10 or 9/80 workweek.
Must be able to work 1st or 2nd shift.
Candidate must be willing to work any shift to work schedule.
